A long history of collecting antique, vintage and cutter quilts, as well as fabrics,
has given me an opportunity to study fabrics used throughout the history of quiltmaking with the actual
fabric in hand.
This large collection of fabrics, combined with years of hand sewing, embroidery,
and hand quilting skills has taught me to respect the original quilt to be restored and the
techniques that were used to construct the quilt.
With this in mind I take every precaution at every step of the restoration process
to insure that the finished quilt is brought to life without losing the intent of the original quilt maker.
This process can be long and tedious; therefore I only consider serious inquiries and my prices
reflect the original condition of the quilt, the historical context, its future use, and the wishes of the owner/client.
I never take on a project that I don't think I can do justice to.
